On the edge of the Taklimakan, Hotan is famous for its quality Jade.  This ancient city has a culture and history all its own.

Yengisar is famous for its handmade knives and it's Silk and Atlas workshops.  They are produced as they have been for thousands of years.

Tashkurgan has been the major stop for caravans from India to China.  Tashkurgan is home to the Tajik people.

Yarkant was the capital of an ancient Uyghur kingdom and an important oasis throughout the history of the Silk Road.

As the capital of Xinjiang, Urumqi is a diverse city with a great cultural richness.
